This annual Thanksgiving Day event draws some 1,300 runners and walkers who kick off their holiday weekend by supporting UVA Children’s Hospital. This year, the Turkey Trot will raise money for the Barry and Bill Battle Building, a new outpatient facility being designed especially for children and families. Registration for this year's Turkey Trot has already reached capacity, but the public is invited to cheer on participants and sponsor runners.
